I created this blog several months ago and never really had time to do any thing with it.  Now I am semi-retired and broke and time is a commodity that I seem to have a lot of.  I have worked for various people and entities throughout my life and I thought I would try and make a change in that situation.  I started a small online business.  I taught myself graphic design (still learning) and animation in Adobe Flash.  This certainly isn't the best of times to start a business but as Rabbi Hillel (הלל) said, "if not now, when?" So I went ahead and did it and I am still in the process of doing it.  I named my company Flying Pig Enterprises with influences from Pink Floyd and from the saying, "when pigs fly."  I hope there are some swine out there growing some hefty, enormous wings. So this is a short introduction to myself.  You may at times, if you should care to follow this blog, find several references to music, writing (mostly fiction), painting, poetry, history, mythology, religion or lack thereof, and history.  Once in awhile, as I try to clear out the cobwebs I may reminisce about my childhood and growing up in several small rural towns on the plains of Kansas.
